So, I as a black woman grew up trying to up lift my people and trying to promote only black power and supporting your black business. I know there is a lot of work to be done and I don't have any resources right now for a none profit, I feel we gotta start standing for something more. We are desperate for money because we have struggled so much. It is a generational cycle that continues on and on, I am working on it.
With that I must discuss my television experiences that I have had lately. Of course reality television which I have no shame for sorry, it's a new form of entertainment and you know people don't fight that much in real life it's just something mindless to pass the time.
So here is what I have been watching of interest to get myself out of endless maze of reality shows. Before last season ended: Outsourced, 30 Rock, don't know where they are right now. 30 rock will probably be a midseason replacement for something. This season I am continuing on with the office minus Steve Carell, so far so good. I have added New Girl it's pretty good.
Finally, my new obsession is Korean drama. What's up Fox and Young Love Jae In (Glory Jane), formally man of honor. All on hulu and dramafever(the network). What's up Fox was a little taboo. The main character reporter Go or was the main character and her sister's pesky little brother, forgot his name. I am bad with remembering the names because of the language barrior. It's like watching Spanish soap operas and not knowing what is going on. Two languages I am going to have to learn soon because I am tired of subtitles, but at least they give you subtitles for these Korean shows. I have not invested a lot of time on Charming by the day, but that is another good one that I am watching. There will be more to come.
First I watched every episode of What's up Fox and asked myself what was I doing in 2005. I was becoming a mother at 25. The main character was 30 and in a place where I was only a year before that. She was a single woman running around wondering what more she could find for her life. She ended up having a lot of embarrsassing run ins with her sister's younger brother, Chul Soo. From my observance of the culture, if there is a large age difference, not even 10 years that older is considered an elder. One you must address formally, so when Reporter Go and Chul Soo have a crazy night of sorts, they try to block it out of there mind because it would be considered a little shameful. In the end of course they run off together and they live happily ever after with no worries of what their families and friends, think.
Finally I am deep into Young Love Jae in. The main character has no memory of an accident when she was younger that caused Bae in the father of Kim Young Kwang, to send her to an orphanage, while he takes the money to open up a Noodle Shop from the Vice President of the company he drove for, who becomes the President. Jae in's father was the President who died from an accident that occurred before the accident Jae in was in. Flash Forward to modern times and we have Kim Young Kwang. He had previously met her and the bane of his existence In Woo when his father a driver took him to a fancy "smancy" party at the Presidents home. Young Kwang bragged about playing baseball to In Woo, but he was horrible. Jae in spoke encouraging words and they promised to marry each other over him playing baseball when they got older. they meet again in the hospital, but don't recognize each other.Later she shows up at their house thinking she is Bae in's daughter throwing Young Kwangs mother into a horrible fit, his youngest of two sister angry to the bone, but the understanding grandmother takes her in. Also, Bae in is killed before he can clean up the mess that he allowed to happen. He was a humble man always bowing and apologizing for other's mistakes even taking the blame for the president's death as the driver. while Bae in or In Bae-S0rry got his name mixed up...While In Bae was obviously a humble and good husband and father, I guess desparation is what caused him to make a deal with the devil, the vice president. To keep quiet about what really happened to Jae in's family, and to open the noodle restaurant he always wanted. Those were ruthless people he was dealing with so it was a big mistake that made his family suffer and in the end did no good for anyone.
One moment that really made me want to write about this is how the people have such pride. Respect your elders. They speak in riddles and have high morals about such things. Most seem to have a good work ethic and they are very traditional. In one scene Young Kwang is trying to win over the VP for a job position and he does chinese riddles and then he begins making insults about a person in a high position. Then they new president laughs at the idea of a small person doing better then he. He had fooled the new pres. into laughing and everyone was a witness too it, so the pres. was forced to by the product that he was selling.
Anyway, the shows are really amazing and I feel like I am reading a book that I can't put down. I am recommending people to watch a few. I even recommended the network to my beauty supply store merchant. I think he gets home sick, so I told him that watching those shows might be fun and help him although he has been here quite a few years.
I just wanted to say that because when things get tough a lot of the characters say things like 'fighting" before they go a tend to their daily task, or you can be like Jae in he puts her fist up and says "cheers" in Korean before she handles a situation and it seems that she feels everything will work out despite the odds. Through all her obstacles it does seem to be paying off for her.

Tyler Perry: Love/Hate, why?
Archival rambling:
I am annoyed at seeing all of these post saying that there is a love/hate relationship with Tyler Perry. I just wanted to tell my side because it's a free country and I want to practice my right to free speech; what's left of it. Mr. Perry may not have formal training, but he has done some amazing things with that. I think that his writing has gotten better, considering that he does have help with people that actually are formally trained writers. People say that it is rushed and yes Mr. Perry has admitted that it takes him less time and less money to film a movie. I may be bias because I saw the evolution of Madea from start to present. His stage plays were like any stage play from little known to very well known. It is probably bias of you all to give respect to someone who got his start in writing stage plays. Let's be honest a stage play doesn't have to well written, but funny and entertaining. If the actor (as I so loosely call them) can belt out a soulful beautiful tune then you got a hit, but it is not in the same league as Broadway.
I just saw something different in Mr. Perry's plays and I think he has an "it" factor that caused him to get where he is now. I think he earned his place and really deserves his place. Now I have taken a break from watching reality television and watching comedies like The Office, 30 Rock, and Saturday Night Live, so I had to open my eyes and my mind a little when writing this piece. I have a strong opinion about what I feel and can sometimes be too passionate that I can't see anything else. I will say this we gotta stop our own self hatred. Let's talk about Madea and Mr. Brown for that matter. Mr. Perry incorporates several "cooning" characters in his plays and his movies. When we say Madea is a modern day mamie what do we mean by that. Is Mrs. Doubtfire mamie as well? For that matter Dame Edna (if you don't know, look her up). I really feel there is a lot of self hate going on. Yes I am trying to make you love Mr. Perry. I have tried to look at both sides of this argument and I am sticking to my initial opinion of course. It's a little difficult to get over or early entertainment endeavors in the past century, that we can't see past the shucking and jiving of the past the utter mockery of black face minstrel shows.
What if we came here on our own, no slavery, no oppression.
While I have you here.....
Archival ramblings:
So I am the Georgia Peche and I have my opinions about certain things and I haven't found my niche' market. My focus is still going green and natural things, but I like music, so I had to take time to do a little review.
Tonight I listened to Katy Perry. Love her, she is a little creative. She doesn't fit a mold and she isn't even declaring it we just know, she is very unique. I was hit today by the Fireworks song, I just love the message she is putting out and that gives her even more substance then ever. I like fun music and she makes that, but she seems very geniune in switching things up and making sure she has a message.

These are view statistics from places outside of U. S. that have viewed may page. Sadly I only speak English and I made all A's in French, but have no clue of some of the basic phraes now since that was years ago. I am fascinated by other cultures and I am sure that all those who have viewed me probably speak several languages with English being one of them, so this is my shoutout you know who you are, if I have made any impact. So I have attempted to post this a million times. Anyway, I recieved an email titled twix and I thought I was going to get my first freebie, some chocolate. Actually it was a taste of good music. The artists name is actually spelled Twixx and he is from Amsterdam. Another song is Music and You, it is a pretty good song and video. It brought me back to the days when videos matched the lyrics to the song. I want to hear more and I want more people to hear good music so here you go.

Going Green
Hi Everyone:
So working two jobs has taken away from my commitment to the blog. I was thinking of also changing the name, so if there are any suggestions if I still have a following left please inbox me or leave a comment.
So I made a declaration over a week ago my main declaration to going green is planting my own garden. I am sure I am not the only one who has done this, but I was raised in a garden growing family. We would visit my grandmother sometimes and we would help her pull the vegetables and pick peas. My grandfather always brought us his watermelons that he grew once a year. I think it took this long journey of struggling to realize that I may have that in me as well. With my love of food it's just a perfect fit. I don't know if I will be a complete farmer, but I plan on having so many vegetables and fruits that I could give them away if I wanted to. I already started with my kids. They have a terrarium that I found at walmart for $5 andthey have planted tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and cucumber. The cucumber was the first thing to sprout and I think I was more excited about it then the kids. You know mothers the process of a seed being planted and watching it grow from something so small to something much bigger is just exciting. The kids did enjoy planting them. My daughter was throwing the seeds every where, but she enjoyed it. My son was bossing her around about it, but he has fun too.
So my declaration and my role in going green will be to plant vegetables. I haven't forgotten fruits. My next declaration which was previously discussed is getting rid of the creamy crack. So I had my last perm in June. I am getting it straightened sometimes and getting braids and sew ins. I want to be a positive role model for my daughter and tell her that the hair that is growing from her scalp is beautiful and she is going to have to rock it. It maybe easy for this generation because a lot of people have decided to switch over. The only thing is if you know your history we have had this resurgence before. When people were preaching black power in the 70s and men stopped processing there hair and there were role models like "Florida Evans" on GoodTimes who had the real wash and go.
So I have run out of steam for now please leave comments I would love to hear from you later alligators.
